Warm, practical and shaped especially for sighthounds, this terracotta Whippet fleece jumper provides comfortable everyday warmth without restricting movement.

Unlike standard dog jumpers, it has been designed around a sighthound’s deep chest, narrow waist, long back and slim neck. The high fleece neck provides extra warmth around the neck and shoulders, while the sleeveless design leaves the front legs free for comfortable walking, running and resting.

An elasticated section underneath the tummy helps the jumper sit securely against the body without adding unnecessary bulk and provides a practical, male-friendly fit.

The rich terracotta fleece looks particularly beautiful against blue, black, brindle, fawn and cream coats. This is a limited-edition fabric and will not be restocked once the available sizes have sold.

The available sizes may suit larger Italian Greyhounds, smaller Whippets, Whippets and small, finely built lurchers, depending on their individual measurements.

Because dogs can vary considerably within the same breed, please measure your dog rather than selecting a size based only on breed or weight.

How to Measure

Ask your dog to stand naturally with their head in a relaxed, upright position.

Measure from the base of the neck, along the centre of the back, to the base of the tail.

Stop where the tail begins. Do not measure along the neck or continue over the tail.

The size you select should match this back measurement:

• 18″ back length
• 20″ back length
• 22″ back length
• 24″ back length

Please note that jumpers are measured differently from our coats. Jumpers and pyjamas are measured to the base of the tail, while coats are measured over the hindquarters and a few inches past the tail for full coverage.

Warmth and Season Guide

This fleece jumper provides comfortable medium warmth and is suitable for autumn, winter and cooler spring days.

It can be worn indoors when the house feels chilly, outdoors during cool and dry weather or underneath a waterproof coat in cold and wet conditions.

Whippets and other sighthounds have fine coats and very little insulating body fat, so many benefit from an additional fleece layer sooner than thicker-coated breeds.

This jumper is warm but not waterproof. For wet weather, we recommend layering it underneath a properly fitted waterproof sighthound coat.

Machine wash at 30°C on a gentle cycle and allow to air dry. Do not tumble dry or iron directly on the fleece.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this jumper suitable for Greyhounds?

This limited-edition release is available only up to 24″, so it will not fit most adult Greyhounds. Please see our main fleece jumper range for larger Greyhound sizes.

Will it fit an Italian Greyhound?

The 18″ size may fit a larger Italian Greyhound, but please measure from the base of the neck to the base of the tail before ordering.

Is it suitable for male dogs?

Yes. The elasticated underbelly is shaped to provide comfortable and practical clearance for male dogs.

Can it be worn underneath a raincoat?

Yes. This fleece jumper makes an excellent insulating layer beneath a waterproof sighthound coat, provided both garments fit comfortably together.

Is the jumper waterproof?

No. It is designed to provide fleece warmth rather than rain protection.

Is it made to order?

No. These limited-edition jumpers are already handmade and ready to post.
